This is just the 1.0 version, and there will be significant upgrades to bring more social networking features. But now you can listen and watch Science Friday podcasts and videos anywhere your phone takes you.
And please, please, please…..tell us what other features and improvements you’d like to see on the app.

Sci Friday – great fun. However, does not work on Iphone net. One has to nfind a wifi hot spot to listen or view. Bummer!
Are there plans for an Android version? If not would you share the source to the iPhone app with someone who would port it to Android (actually, my students)?

I really enjoy the SciFri app on my iPhone 3G. At least I _did_ before it upgraded to a new version. Apparently it now *requires* iOS4. Unfortunately, my attempt at upgrading to iOS4 caused more app crashes, in addition to no longer being able to use the earbuds for phone calls. Since the problem was a conflict with Apple software, a Genius exchanged the phone for me. But now I can’t use SciFri any more. And what about people with the original iPhone that can’t even run iOS4? Could you please post the older version for people who don’t or can’t use iOS4? Thanks.
