-The New York Times put together a slide show of some of the highlights from bird photographer Theodore Cross. Cross narrates the slide show, explains the adrenaline rush of bird photography and discusses the behavior of some of the featured species.

-Targeting geeks at the music-tech nexus, the acclaimed Berklee College of Music is offering an online certification program, starting Monday. Check out some of the virtual curriculum here at Wired.com’s culture blog Underwire. Or go here for the full list.

-A play called Space Panorama is showing through January 17 at New York’s experimental theater festival, Under the Radar. It’s a one-man play, featuring hand model Andrew Dawson, who simulates the entire Apollo 11 moon landing mission using only his hand gestures and facial expressions to drum up the drama. Blast off!

Check out Dawson’s Q & A with the New York Times arts blog here.
