We all know that bees are the superheroes of the pollinator world. And now they have their own comic book graphic novel to prove it.
 
Philadelphia-based artist Aaron Birk has written and illustrated what might be the world’s first landscape ecology-themed graphic novel, The Pollinator’s Corridor (Black Willow Productions, 2011). It’s set in the 1970s, in the Bronx, and follows three friends as they…well, you’ll have to read it to find out. But check out some of the beautifully illustrated scenes in the slideshow above.
