Chris Adrian on Writing About Hospitals

Last week on Science Friday, we sat down for a chat on writing and medicine with doctor-novelist Chris Adrian. In his fiction, the worlds of the magical and the medical collide. Often set in dreary hospitals, fumbling doctors are accompanied by angels or fairies with magical powers. His new novel, The Great Night, is a retelling of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
