Last week we invited Science Friday fans to share their photos of the rare astronomical event, the transit of of Venus. The range and quality of the photos we received was amazing! We've selected ten of our favorites for the slideshow above and now we want you to help us decide on the winner of our transit of Venus photo contest. Vote below for your favorite and check out the whole set in our Facebook gallery.

The photographers who snapped the ten photos selected as finalists will each receive a Science Friday pocket protector signed by Ira, and the winner of this poll will receive copies of Andrea Wulf's Chasing Venus: The Race to Measure the Heavens and The Transits of Venus by William Sheehan and John Westfall. Voting will close at 12:01 AM on Wednesday, June 27th.

*Finalist photographers: to receive your pocket protectors, please e-mail photos@sciencefriday.com with your shipping address.
