Footprints on the Moon

by Ira Flatow

NASA released some fantastic photos of footprints, flags and space ships left by astronauts on the moon, all still clearly visible in photos taken from the Lunar Reconnaissance orbiter 40 years later. And still breathtaking. You can see the shadow of the flags planted there, save the one from Apollo 11, which Buzz Aldrin had claimed – and now appears he was correct – was blown down during ascent from the lunar surface.
