Here are a few links for toy companies that are making efforts to be planet-friendly. By no means is this list complete, but I thought it might give readers an idea of how manufacturers are handling the challenge. Please feel free to share other resources.
Green Toys: Made of recycled plastic milk jugs; Made in the USA, so there’s less energy used for transportation (for folks living in the U.S.).
Sprig Toys are made of Sprigwood (reclaimed wood and recycled plastic). Their site offers a guide to other green toy companies.
Check out the virtual WWF Gift Catalog, offers stuffed animals in a variety of categories, including climate change. Your money goes towards WWF conservation efforts.
