Urban Planning

Many of today's cities seem like nothing more than a tangle of buildings, congested roadways, and overcrowded residential areas, with little evidence of planning. In this hour of Science Friday, we'll talk about what cities can do to minimize their infrastructures, revitalize their downtowns, and bring city living in line with quality-of-life issues. Plus, we'll consider the impact of the new media on our nation's cities.
