Commonly held beliefs about the stability of objects in our solar system are now being challenged. For instance, scientists say that more than two hundred asteroids have broken out of their sun-centered orbit and are roaming the solar system. In this hour of Science Friday, we'll find out how likely it is that one could hit Earth, and what ís being done to track near-Earth asteroids.
Guests: Harold Levison Senior Research Scientist Space Science Department Southwest Research Institute Boulder, Colorado
