A panel of breast cancer experts, convened by National Cancer Institute Director Dr. Richard Klausner, concluded yesterday that they could not recommend mammograms for all women in their 40s. Klausner has said he was "shocked" by the announcement. In this hour of Science Friday, Ira Flatow will discuss the decision with Klausner, and talk about recent developments in cancer research.
