Nerve Cell Repair

When it comes to repairing nerve cells damaged by disease, injury or stroke, progress has been limited by the fact that neurons can't regrow. Now, scientists say they've identified a gene that can help the thread-like axons of injured nerve cells regenerate. We'll be talking about nerve repair and other advances in neuronal research in this hour of Science Friday.
