Deep Blue/Patents

The showdown between Deep Blue and chess champ Gary Kasparov may be over, but people are still talking about the battle between man and machine. In this hour of Science Friday, we'll talk about the match, and whether a computer is really playing chess like a human, or just doing a lot of calculations. Plus, a bill that would revamp the U.S. patent system has passed in the House and may be up for a Senate vote soon. We'll talk about what changes could be in store for inventors and businesses.
