Sir Martin Rees: A conversation with Great Britain's
Astronomer Royal about the universe - or universes.
Many people accept the theory that around 15 billion years ago, our universe was created through a tremendous explosion known as the Big Bang. But what exactly happened when the Big Bang banged is still an open question.
How exactly did the Big Bang work? Was our universe the only one created through this cataclysmic event, or could other, alternate universes having physical laws very different from our own have been created at the same instant?
In this hour of Science Friday, guest host Richard Harris talks to Great Britain's Astronomer Royal about things astronomical, from cosmology and black holes to relativity and alternate universes.
Guests: Sir Martin Rees Great Britain's Astronomer Royal Royal Society Professor King's College, Cambridge University Cambridge, United Kingdom
