Hour Two: The Spring Bug
Show
Well, spring is already here, according to the
calendar... and if the weather cooperates, perhaps you're
starting to think about starting some outdoor, spring-like
activities. Maybe you'll be puttering in the garden a bit
more, or trying to get the lawn looking neat -- or maybe
you'll be relaxing outdoors, having a picnic and watching
the flowers start to bloom. No matter what you're planning,
there's a good chance that insects will be involved.
|
And so, Science Friday is proud to present an
annual favorite, the Spring Bugs Show. It's your
chance to get all those creepy crawly questions
answered, from the behavior of social insects like
ants and bees, to the way that other solitary
insects, such as Monarch butterflies, can associate
with each other, we've got it covered. And even if
you live in a concrete canyon, have no fear -- your
questions on urban insects like roaches are welcome
here too. Give our bug experts a call during this
hour of Science Friday - our number is
1-800-989-8255.
