Hour Two: Einstein In Love

He once said that "All of science is nothing more than the refinement of everyday thinking." Eminently quotable, Albert Einstein is as famous for his eccentric personality as he is for his equation "E=mc2."

But how much do you really know about Einstein? Do you ever think of him as a young romantic, playing his violin and breaking hearts? Hiking? Telling dirty jokes? In this hour of Science Friday, we'll take a look beyond Albert Einstein's scientific legacy at his personal life, including his love affair with a fellow student, the Serb mathematician Mileva Maric, who would become his first wife.

Plus, the quotable Einstein. Quotes often attributed--and misattributed--to the dark-eyed, wild-haired physicist lend insight into his thoughts on everything from the science of special relativity to why he hated socks. Join us for a portrait of the physicist as a young man in this hour - and call in with your questions and comments to 1-800-989-8255.
