Hour One: Environmental News Roundup

With the headlines dominated by war and bioterrorism, news about the environment has been pushed to the back pages. In this hour of Science Friday, we'll take a look at some of the environmental stories we all may have overlooked in the past weeks.

We'll hear about a vote in San Francisco that gives the thumbs up to one of the largest solar power projects in the country, and a setback for plans to roll out electric cars in the northeast. We'll also get an update on last week's global climate change talks in Marakesh. Delegates from 180 countries met to hammer out the details of a new agreement. However, the U.S. was absent from the table. We'll find out more.

Call in with your questions and comments at 1-800-989-8255, and share your opinions online in our Listeners' Lounge (registration required)
