Hour One: NASA Administrator
Sean O'Keefe / Human Cloning
Will there someday again be manned missions to the moon? What's in
store for the international space station? And will we ever send people
to Mars? In this hour of Science Friday, Ira talks NASA Administrator
Sean O'Keefe, and gives you the chance to get answers to your space
exploration questions straight from the top.
Plus, a company announced today that they have helped a woman give
birth to a baby that is a clone of the mother. If true, this would
be the first use of reproductive human cloning -- a development that
has many researchers very nervous. The company, Clonaid, is connected
to the Raelian movement, a religious group that believes humans are
descended from clones of extraterrestrials. We'll find out more.
