Hour Two: Dean Kamen

You may have been amazed--or amused--by the recent unveiling of the much-hyped Segway transportation device. Inventor Dean Kamen has created a lot more than that, though, holding over a hundred US patents. His creations include the arterial stent, a portable insulin pump, and a wheelchair-like device that goes up and down stairs. On top of that, he's the founder of FIRST, a group that seeks to get young people fired up about science and technology.

In this hour, Ira Flatow talks with Dean Kamen about inventions, inventing, and science and technology education. Plus - are doctors changing their views on mammography?
