May 17, 2002:
Hour One: Therapeutic
Cloning Debate
This spring, the Senate will vote on cloning. Three competing bills
seek to legislate research in this area. While all three bills would
prohibit reproductive cloning, two of the bills under debate would permit
therapeutic cloning, or cloning for experimental purposes. In this hour
of Science Friday, we'll hear a debate on therapeutic cloning. What
do you think?
