Hour Two: Alternative
Medicine
Earlier this year, the White House Commission on Complimentary and
Alternative Medicine issued a report recommending that alternative treatments
be made more widely available. The report received criticism from some,
fanfare from others.. Join us in this hour of Science Friday for a look
the report and its recommendations.. Is there really a difference between
so called 'alternative and complimentary medicine' and 'traditional'
methods? And, if so, what is it? And as alternative therapies move into
the mainstream, what does the science say about what might work and
what probably will not?
