Hour One: Portland
Remote : Healthy Aging
The American population is getting older. What
are scientists doing to make the "golden years" a little easier? From
Alzheimer's research to end-of-life care, in this hour, we'll talk
about the problems of a graying population and what scientists are
doing to solve them.
And what happens as the end of life draws nearer?
Oregon has been a pioneer state in dealing with end-of-life issues.
We'll talk about the needs of the dying, and how they can be met.
We'll be broadcasting live from Portland,
Oregon, as part of Brain Awareness Week 2003. Call in with
your questions and comments at 1-800-989-8255, and share your opinions
online in our Listeners' Lounge (registration required)
