2004: Fifty years ago this month, surgeons completed the first successful live human organ transplant when a kidney was transplanted from one identical twin to his brother. In this hour of Science Friday, we'll look back at the history, and future, of human organ transplant. Will there come a time when human organ donors aren't needed? What about growing artificial organs, or making use of organs harvested from animals? We'll talk about it. Plus, how your brain "sees" fear in someone's eyes. Research published this week in the journal Science indicates that the brain's amygdala keys in on larger-than-normal eye whites as a sign that something's not right. We'll find out more. Call in with your questions and comments at 1-800-989-8255 (3-4 Eastern). Guests: *************************************************** Charles A. Vacanti, MD, Thomas E.
