Hour Two: Nobel Prize Wrapup / X-Prize and Beyond

October 4, 1957, the Soviet satellite Sputnik entered space, throwing down a challenge to the US space program. This week, on the 47th anniversary of that flight, the private rocket SpaceShipOne carried a man to space to win the ten-million-dollar X-Prize, and sent a challenge of its own. In this hour of Science Friday, we'll talk about what might be ahead for the future of private space travel. Will the SpaceShipOne flight kick off a new era of space development?

Plus, we'll talk about this year's science Nobel Prize winners in chemistry, physics, and medicine. Who are they, and why did they win? Call in with your questions and comments at 1-800-989-8255 (3-4 Eastern).
