From teaching evolution in Pennsylvania, to the hurricane season in the Atlantic, and a tenth planet in our solar system, science captured the headlines this year. In this hour of Science Friday, host Ira Flatow and guests will run down the top science stories of the year.
Plus, the editor-in-chief of Science magazine, Donald Kennedy, joins us. In June of this year Science published the work of the now disgraced South Korean cloning researcher Hwang Woo Suk. The paper was later found be fraudulent. We'll find out how the scandal has impacted the journal.
Call in with your questions and comments at 1-800-989-8255 (2-3 Eastern). Teachers, find more information about using Science Friday as a classroom resource in the Kids' Connection.
