Breast Cancer Gene / HIV-AIDS Update

Researchers say they have found a gene that appears to offer some protection from HIV, and that could also delay the onset of full-blown AIDS in those who do become infected. Could the discovery of the gene help in vaccine development? In this hour, we'll look at the genetics of HIV infection. We'll also get an update on the ongoing struggle to develop a vaccine.

Plus, some researchers say the risk of of breast cancer in women with the BRCA1 and BRCA2 gene mutations has been overstated. We'll look at the controversy surrounding breast cancer genes and breast cancer risk.
