In this hour, a look at searching for extra dimensions, with theoretical physicist Lawrence Krauss. Is the Twilight Zone just around the corner? Is there more to the universe than...this universe? We'll talk about string theory, religion, our fascination with the infinite, and alternate universes.
Plus, the hidden life of garbage. We'll talk about what exactly happens to trash after it departs your curbside, from recycling to landfills. Plus, where do old PCs go to die? Even computers turned in for recycling may face a less-than-green end in dumps in the developing world.
Please note that this program is pre-recorded -- don't try to call in. Happy holidays! Teachers, find more information about using Science Friday as a classroom resource in the Kids' Connection.
