As the focus in Iraq turns to rebuilding, a new effort aims to bring basic resources to scientists there. In this hour, we'll talk about rebuilding science and the Iraqi Virtual Science Library, with the Iraqi government official responsible for science in the war-torn country.
Plus, we'll hear about robots in Iraq -- the same company that makes the popular floor-vaccuming Roomba manufactures a military robot . We'll talk about how the 'PackBot' is being used in the field, and what they mean for the future of warfare.
Plus, NASA plans for a July 1st launch of the space shuttle Discovery -- though some of the space agency's engineers aren't in support of that launch decision. We'll talk about it. Call in with your questions and comments at 1-800-989-8255 (2-3 Eastern). Teachers, find more information about using Science Friday as a classroom resource in the Kids' Connection.
