NASA's 2007 Budget and Funding Priorities / Recent Evolution

NASA'S new budget earmarks money to keep the shuttle flying, build its replacement, and finish the space station.
But once all that is taken care of, there's not much money left in the space agency's budget for space science. Join Ira and guests in this hour for a look at NASA's budget and funding priorities for the years ahead.

Plus, evidence of recent evolution in humans. A new survey of the human genome indicates that there may be as 700 genetic variants that have undergone changes within the past 10,000 years -- a blink of an eye, evolutionarily speaking. We'll talk with one of the authors of the study about what it means for understanding evolution. Call in with your questions and comments at 1-800-989-8255 (2-3 Eastern).
