One of the greatest human characteristics is uniqueness. That which makes diamonds so valuable also makes each human life priceless. Fortunately human beings are more than their DNA. Individuals are shaped more by experiences than by genetics, so in reality these "clones" can be more precisely defined as genetic equals.

I am not a scientist, but I believe researching this "cloning" process will lead to cures for newly discovered genetic diseases. The issue that remains, however, is how should this research be conducted. I believe that experimenting on humans who have given their consent should be allowed at some point, although I also feel that more testing is needed on animals to perfect the process. Since we have not discovered the complete extent of the relationship between genetics and certain diseases, we do not have enough information to call such technology immoral. Perhaps someday there will be pills that ensure certain genetic defects never occur, which are used as regularly as blood pressure medicine or aspirin.
