In a world where many are born with little or no planning, it seems as though carefully planned and monitored cloning of humans would be okay. However, extreme care must govern cloning (by qualified scientists, I presume), and we must not lose the rich human gene pool which has taken literally billions of years to collect. Collective wisdom is not so great as some scientists would lead the public to believe. In science there is one truism: What we know and partially understand now will be to science one hundred years hence will be similar to what the Ptolmeic planetary model is to us now.
