    The topic: Fear and pain.
We asked what kinds of pain you feared most.

Here's what some of you had to say...

Pain most feared: Lower back muscle pain to the extent of complete innability to move, even roll over.
The pain that i would fear most is the pain that i would not have time to feel...ie the instant suddenly transient pain of nerve destruction.

The pain that i fear next most is any pain that gives me no indication of when or how it will go away... eg the pain of a long-lasting migraine headache, and/or maybe also the pain on the wallet of increasing medical costs.

The prospect of having to read Microsoft programming "Help" files.

The most excruciating kind of pain I've experienced was pain in my toes caused by Raynaud's Syndrome, also known as chilblains. Some people also get this in their fingers, and I once had it on my ear. It results from exposure to cold or a rise in stress levels which causes the small blood vessels in the extremities to go into spasm, decreasing circulation. When the affected part gets warm again, it swells and turns red and is extremely painful when touched. Believe me, once I learned what was causing it, I quickly learned to keep my feet warm and dry at all times.
    teeth drilling
the most intense pain I have had is in childbirth... toward the end of the labor, about one hour prior to and through the birth. Second to that pain, I had intense pain when I had a pregnancy that grew in my ovary, an ectopic pregnancy. Next I would have to say more simple injuries.. ie slamming my finger in a door or a hammer on my finger. So I guess im fingers and babies phobic.
