Live Earth Concerts Kick Off Worldwide (broadcast Friday, July 6th, 2007)
Can music stop global warming? We'll talk with some of the organizers of the 'Live Earth' concerts scheduled for tomorrow across the globe. Concert organizers, including Al Gore, hope that the efforts will help focus social and political attention on climate change, in much the way that the 'Live Aid' concert of 1985 highlighted the problem of famine in Ethiopia and other countries. Teachers, find more information about using Science Friday as a classroom resource in the Kids' Connection.
