Have you had your flu shot yet? Each year, the CDC estimates, 5% to 20% of the population comes down with the flu. In the past few weeks, clinics across the country have been offering vaccinations against the combination of flu viruses that experts predict will be the most serious infectious contenders this season. This year, in contrast with previous years, flu vaccine is in good supply. The government is encouraging widespread use of the vaccine. In this segment, Ira talks with influenza experts about the upcoming flu season and efforts to improve influenza prevention and treatment.
