Global Health on A Dollar a Day (broadcast Friday, October 26th, 2007)

You've probably heard the phrase 'for just pennies a day...' in requests for donations for any number of causes. But what public health problems should be addressed to make the biggest difference for extremely poor people -- those who live on just a dollar a day? In this segment, Ira talks with an editor at the journal PLOS Medicine. In a recent issue, the journal solicited suggestions from some of the world's leading public health advocates about what global health problems should be key targets in the war on poverty.
