'Fields of Fuel' Film Looks at Biodiesel (broadcast Friday, January 18th, 2008)
Can green fuel make a splash on the silver screen? A documentary film about biofuels is making its debut next week at the Sundance Film Festival. The film was directed by Josh Tickell, also known for his roving 'Veggie Van,' a biodiesel-powered Winnebago that traveled the country fueled by waste oil from french fry production. In this segment, Ira talks with Tickell about biofuels and his belief that biodiesel is the key to U.S. energy independence from foreign oil.
