Cities Cutting Energy Use
How are cities around the world taking steps to cut energy use? Ann Arbor, Michigan, is turning to LED lighting. In Chicago, city planners are turning to rooftop gardens to keep cool. In Amsterdam, the cool waters of a local lake are being used to reduce energy spent on air conditioning.
In this segment, Ira talks with a journalist who looked at the nine different approaches of nine different cities to the energy problem. What is your city doing?
