Greener Cars on the Road?
Is the automobile landscape changing in the US? Honda plans to lease at least 200 fuel cell vehicles in the US over the next three years. The leases on the car, called the FCX Clarity, will be offered only in California, where a network of hydrogen refueling stations is being installed. Also this week, automaker General Motors announced it was shifting production away from massive SUVs towards smaller, more fuel efficient vehicles, and shuttering four factories in the process. The company also announced that it was going ahead with plans for an electric car, known as the Volt, which should be in dealerships by 2010. In this segment, we'll talk about the changing options you'll be seeing in the country's car showrooms. Are greener highways on the horizon?
