Obama Environmental Appointments

This week, President-elect Obama's choices for several environment-related government posts came to light, including the pick of Nobel Laureate physicist Steven Chu to be energy secretary. Chu currently leads the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. President-elect Obama has also reportedly chosen Lisa P. Jackson, former head of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, as EPA administrator. Carol Browner, former EPA head under President Clinton, will head a new energy and environment council in the administration, according to Democratic officials. In this segment, we'll talk about President-elect Obama's choices for these key environmental posts,and what may be ahead in White House environmental policy.
