Earlier this month, Jane Lubchenco was confirmed by the U.S. Senate as the under secretary of commerce for oceans and atmosphere. That position also puts her at the helm of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the nation’s top science agency for climate, oceans, and the atmosphere. In this segment, Ira will talk with Dr. Lubchenco about the agency's priorities for the coming years, and earth science research under the Obama administration.
