Yale graduate student Jakob Vinther and colleagues looked at the fossilized feathers of 150-million-year-old Anchiornis huxleyi and found melanosomes--the organelles that hold melanin. Vinther's analysis suggests the dinosaur had surprisingly flashy plumage. En Español.
