Kevin Anibas, of Menomonie, Wis., created a cook top reflector that saves energy and cooking time by preventing heat from escaping. Anibas says if a range is equipped with these reflector pans and two burners are used at 1/2 power for 20 minutes to cook dinner, the energy saved would run two 15 watt cfl (60 watt incandescent equivalent) bulbs for 4 hours. Anibas found that the reflector cuts down on cooking energy by 20 percent. Watch the video to see how the reflector works. Video submitted by Kevin Anibas. Viewed 1376 times.
