William Cox III is CEO and Founding Partner of Soaring Partners, LLLP. For more than 20 years, he’s made investments in venture capital and private equity, with a focus in media and technology. Prior to founding Soaring Partners, he was a Founding Partner of Harding Loevner and worked in Dublin as head of Business Development for Baxter Financial Services and Currency Dealing. From 1979 to 1997, Mr. Cox held a variety of positions at Dow Jones & Co.
Initially, his areas of expertise included advertising, marketing, and research for The Wall Street Journal newspaper and Barron’s magazine. He then headed Business Development for the Dow Jones Newswires. He sat on the partnership board of directors at the Buffalo Sabres NHL hockey club from 1994 to 1999 and helped arrange a sale to Paychex, Inc.
Currently he sits on the Board of Directors at GoGoMeds.com an online pharmacy based in Kentucky. William received a BS in Business Administration at Boston University in 1978 and holds a Certificate from the New York University School of Information Technologies and the Executive MBA Program at the NYU Stern School. William joined the Board in 2022.
