This week, members of the Senate are wrangling over the passage of a nuclear deal with Iran. Rush Holt, former congressman and plasma physicist, was among 29 scientists who signed a letter addressed to President Obama that backed the deal. Holt and Vaughan Turekian, science and technology advisor to the Secretary of State, discuss the role that science and scientists can play in negotiating global issues.
Rush Holt, a former congressman, is CEO of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the executive publisher of the Science family of journals. He’s based in Princeton, New Jersey.
