30:00 minutes
In this archival interview from May 1996, Carl Sagan talks about his book The Demon-Haunted World: Science As a Candle In the Dark. It’s a wide-ranging conversation about pseudoscience, UFOs, the origins of the universe, and a movie he was working on: Contact.
Carl Sagan authored The Demon-Haunted World (Random House, 1995), among other books, and was the David Duncan Professor of Astronomy and Space Sciences at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
Christopher Intagliata was Science Friday’s senior producer. He once served as a prop in an optical illusion and speaks passable Ira Flatowese.
