Ana Belen Marín-Arroyo

Ana B. Marín-Arroyo is Full Professor of Prehistory at the University of Cantabria. Her main research line is bioarchaeology, with a special focus on past human diet using methodological approaches such as zooarchaeology, stable isotope analysis, and dental microwear. Her research has been published in more than 150 papers in high-impact journals such as Nature, Nature Communications and Science Advances, among others. Currently, she is leading the SUBSILIENCE project funded by an ERC Consolidator Grant. She is in the top 2% of the most cited scientists in Archaeology, a list compiled by Stanford University using data from Elsevier’s Scopus database (2024).
