Dr. Amato Evan is a Professor at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California San Diego. His research focuses on understanding the physical processes that control dust emission, transport, and deposition, as well as the effects of dust on weather and climate. He also leads an interdisciplinary team working to assess the adverse effects of wind-blown dust on society, and inform efforts to mitigate them.
