Camilla serves on several national and community boards including National Public Radio Foundation, The PBS Foundation, is a member of the Science Visiting Council of WGBH/NOVA, serves on the boards of The L.S.B. Leakey Foundation, San Francisco Performances, San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Music @ Menlo, The Library Board at the University of California at Berkeley, Council of Friends of The Bancroft Library, and UC Berkeley Foundation Board. She is a trustee of Teachers College at Columbia U. in NYC, her alma mater. She edits the newsletter for The Bancroft Library, Bancroftiana. Camilla and her husband, George Smith, have five children and twelve grandchildren.
