Daniel Peterschmidt is a digital producer and composes music for Science Friday’s new podcast, Undiscovered. He makes sure SciFri’s web pages are looking fresh, helps out with social media strategy, and designs/codes new things for the site.
Before joining the team at Science Friday, Daniel was a product intern for NPR, where he helped out with podcast content management, social media strategy, and designed new promo art.
Daniel grew up in San Diego, where he learned hip slang like “swoll”, “clean”, and “off the flame” to describe muscle definition. He went to college at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington, where he fell in love hard with the drizzly Pacific Northwest.
When he’s not working, you might find Daniel rewatching 30 Rock, learning the bass line from the song “That Thing You Do,” or making 8-bit covers of TV show theme songs.
