Katalin Karikó

Katalin Karikó is a biochemist and professor at the University of Szeged in Hungary and an adjunct professor at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She is most known for her decades-long research on mRNA, and discoveries that ultimately led to the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, among many other recognitions for her scientific achievements. She published an autobiography, Breaking Through: My Life in Science, in 2023.
