Linda Lear is a historian and author of Beatrix Potter: A Life in Nature (St. Martin’s Press, 2007) and a Rachel Carson: Witness for Nature (Henry Holt & Co, 1997). She also contributed to The Art of Beatrix Potter: Sketches, Paintings, and Illustrations (Chronicle Books, 2016). Lear is based in Bethesda, Maryland.
